ABOUT TIM FELDMANN :

Tim is the co-founder, with his wife, Kino MacGregor, of the renowned Miami Life Center and the newly opened, internationally acclaimed Miami Yoga Garage.

Tim discovered yoga in 1994 and Ashtanga yoga in 1999. He received the prestigious Certified Teacher certification.

As an Advanced A practitioner, Tim believes the traditional Ashtanga method is an exceptional path to healing, wisdom, and self-realization. He is passionate about exploring the core concepts and modern limitations of Patanjali's yoga teachings.

Drawing on his background as a dancer and choreographer, anatomy, alignment, and technique are second nature to him. Tim has pursued extensive studies of Patanjali, Sankhya, and Vedanta for the past seven years with Vidwan Nagaraja Rao, Jayashree & Narasimha, and other outstanding scholars from South India.

Appreciated worldwide for his humor and playful, open, and detailed teaching of authentic yoga, as well as his gentle and precise adjustments, Tim visits yoga shalas around the world with an inclusive message of how study and devotion are the means to powerful transformation within and without.

DESCRIPTION OF COURSES and WORKSHOPS

"Just as music, without proper pitch and rhythm, will not bring happiness,

yogasana without the observance of vinyasa will not bring health."

Srivatsa Ramaswama

Led class first series directed + Questions / Answers

Join Tim for two playful and joyful hours to discover how the first series of Ashtanga can heal the body and mind and empower you in your life. Pattabhi Jois has artfully designed this sequence to cleanse our bodies, purify our nervous systems, and burn away the illusions of the conditioned mind. The original Vinyasa method (also called "special placement"), this thread of uninterrupted movement, conscious breathing, and defined gaze points, opens us to the experience of the meditative mind while building a healthy, flexible, and strong body. Discover how many lessons of hope, empowerment, and surrender are at hand.

All levels welcome.

Mysore Style

Named after the city where Krishnamacharya and Pattabhi Jois developed their yoga method, this is the traditional way of teaching Ashtanga Yoga. Designed for yoga practitioners of all levels, from beginners to advanced, this class aims to offer personalized guidance exactly where you need it most. Build a relationship with yourself, your practice, and your teacher in this inspiring energy. Come discover and honor the thousands-year-old lineage of Ashtanga Yoga teachers, sages, and gurus, R. Sharath Jois, and every Ashtanga practitioner today.

All levels welcome.

Jumping, Walking, Rolling, and Floating – all about transitions!

In the practice of Ashtanga yoga, we spend almost as much time transitioning between postures as we do practicing the postures themselves. In this workshop, we will explore together the diversity of transitions we experience in practice. Beginning with floating jumps in Sun Salutations, then jump backs and jump throughs between seated postures, and finally the more complex entries into arm balances and inversions. We will understand how and where to use strength and stability while creating lightness and ease in the body and mind. Come with a sense of adventure!

All levels welcome.

Introduction to Series 2 - Demystifying Nadi Shodana

In this workshop, Tim takes you through a detailed, fun, and accessible exploration of the intermediate series of Ashtanga Yoga. Discover how this series unlocks the spine, hips, and upper body, and how it builds strength and develops a deeper sense of meditation in movement. By grounding yourself in healthy and sustainable anatomical patterns, you'll identify the physical patterns that lead to pain-free deep backbends, safe hip opening, and techniques for mastering balances.

All levels welcome.

The Art of Assists : 2 days to explore asanas & adjustments in depth

Over the course of these two days, we will explore essential practical adjustments to protect both the student and yourself from injury and tension. We will see how to support students on their path to healing and self-discovery through practice. Tim will guide you to better connect with your own body and help you open the door to what escapes our gaze. When an adjustment is just right, there is nothing more powerful.

This workshop will provide you with fundamental anatomical tools for lasting support for your students and your own body, while protecting them from injury during the daily practice of Ashtanga yoga. Through practical adjustments to targeted postures, you will refine your kinesthetic sensitivity and learn to adapt the intensity of physical aids to each student. The integration of classical yogic wisdom will allow you to harmoniously blend physical and ethical healing, while cultivating true yoga in your practice and teaching. You will learn to share what you perceive and feel with a single goal: to foster positive student transformation.
